Reflection Netbook 2013

My Reflection:
For the past 3 years, we have had enjoyed our time on our new netbooks. Learning new things and discovering what we can do on these netbooks. I have enjoyed my time using this new digital. Also making other new things and playing with it. Everytime I log into my netbook it makes me smile and happy.

What I have learnt about on my netbook is to not be rough with it and let it go to waste. Also to keep it nice and good so that it contains at a good level. Also to always leave it where you can see it and not leave it somewhere alse. Make sure you have your NEtbook bag and charger ready to get checked at the end of the year.

A netbook is like a bestfriend to me and I wont leave it by itself all day. Netbooks are like my favorite thing I like to go on when I come to school. Thank you for all the people who made us get netbooks.

Jack and The Princess

The sun was up and the sky was clear, Jack woke up and got changed. As he looked at his mother he knew she was getting very sick. So Jack went out for a stroll along the banks in the forest with his cow. He had to trade his cow to get some pennies from the farm. As he was walking along he saw a man named Mike wearing a long coat. Mike gave Jack three beans to swap for the cow. So Jack took it and went back home, to tell his mother the good news. But when he showed his mother she was very angry. At night time Jack planted the seeds and waited till the next morning.   

Jack woke up with a big stretch and a loud growl. He quickly jumped out of bed and ran outside like a little mouse. WOW! Jack said with a surprising face, the three beans now have been turned into a giant beanstalk that went straight through the top of the clouds in the sky. A while later Jack heard a big horn blowing and this only meant one thing, someone was missing. Jack hopped onto his horse and rode it all the way to the castle, he asked the king who’s missing your majesty” and he replied back “My Daughter”

Jack goes to rescue the kings daughter. Then Jack climbs the beanstalk and he could see trolls and a gigantic cloud with a large castle on it. Jack then sees big disgusting trolls, he sees a little door that is a secret entrance into the castle. So Jack sneaks into the castle and he sees a big giant foot right in front of his face. he looks up and and then sees a giant troll.

On the side of the castle he then sees the princess in a wooden cage where she can not free herself. Then he goes “shh shh”, she looks down and says “what are you doing here? go away!”, Jack replies “I’m here to rescue you”.

So Jane tells him where the key is to unlock the cage, but it is on a necklace that the troll is wearing. He is the king troll and his name is toby. So Jack climbs the trolls clothes and finds the key. The troll was sleeping, when Jack tugs on his clothes the Troll wakes up and see’s Jack. But the troll thinks that Jack is an insect and just brushes him off. As Jack is brushed off he he grabs the key, unlocks the cage and free’s the princess.

But when they go out the door they bump into a shield and makes a big sound. Then the troll woke up and they were running, but suddenly the troll catches them and swallows them up. However they dodge his teeth and slide down his throat and land in his stomach.

There was a whole village living in his stomach.

The village asked “Who are you?”, The princess replied “I am princess Jane”

Then Jack asked “how do we get out of here” Then they replied “there’s no way out”

So They use the bones from people and animals that the troll has eaten and built a house.

Then Jack asked Jane if she wanted to marry him in a trolls stomach, Jane replied yes and they had their wedding in the trolls stomach. Then they had a party in the trolls heart and had a disco.

Jack and Jane lived happily ever after in the trolls disgusting body.

Spoken word with Joshua Iosefo

Joshua Iosefo came to our Literacy class. We had an experience with Joshua about spoken word. We had to write a piece of a story about what we want to say to the world.

What I want to say to the world?

I think that the prime minister shouldn't take people's homes because people are starting to live in the streets. The prime minister should really take care of his people in New Zealand. I don’t want the world to be like this. I want the world to be more peaceful. I don’t want people dying for us in Afghanistan. I also want them to settle down and talk, through this situation that's making us have this war. Come on and lets get up and make the world more peaceful!!

Cuboid

We had to build our own cuboid out of paper because there was no-more cardboard. It was a big experience at measuring and finding out how things can be equal.

This is a 2D cube the length is 14cm and the width id 4cm so if we multiply the 14cm and the 4 cm we will get 56cm2.

 The next one id a 3D shape the width of this 3D shape is 3cm3.

 The length of this shape is 4cm3.

The height of this 3D shape is 14cm3.

So if we multiply the width of the 3D shape, The length of the 3D shape and also the height of the 3D shape. So that will be 14cmx3cmx14cm = 588.

Will.i.am surprise donation

This Song (that power) was sung by two superstars name Justin Bieber and Will.I.Am. This song to me might be inspiring. I think that this song means to don’t let others bring your dreams down just go and live your life. Enjoy your life and be alive. You can also be the best you can, also help your parents and siblings (I think?).

My dream is to be anything I can achieve in and Strive to Succeed.

On Thursday may 9th 2013, Will.I.Am came to Point England School. My heart was racing and it also took my breathe away. Will.I.Am was a big inspiration to me. He also told us a story about his childhood in East Los Angeles, Will.I.am had a really poor childhood but now he became a very famous superstar and helped out his mum as he grew. The fabulous man kindly donated us $100.00.00 to Manaiakalani School Project, we were all surprised. It took all Point Englanders by surprised and also the other schools.  

Will.I.Am is a very inspiring person to me. Someday I would be like him!

YOU'RE THE BEST!!

Tech Recount

It was our first week of tech 2013, at Tamaki Collage. It was also the year 7's first time, we got split into three rotations. There was, Graphics, Cooking and Hard Materials  I was in Cooking with Mrs Heka, she was a great cooker.

In Mrs Heka's class we made pizza potatoes  it tasted delicious. First put some potato in the oven with the peel. Next we had to fry the tasty onion in the pan. As it browns, you put in the Mince with the onions. Mix it together until the mince is cooked, when its finished you put in the tomato paste. With the potatoes in the oven take it out, cut it in half and then scoop the potatoes in a bowl, don't through the peels, keep it! Then mash it together, when it has finished being mashed then through in the mince. Mix it together and then scoop it into the peels. When you are finished put it in the oven and also sprinkle some cheese over. Wait for ten minutes and there is you delicious pizza potatoes.

Little things can change people lives

A ‘Lollipop  Moment’ is when you put a smile on someone face to cheer them up, or do something really helpful for them. It might turn a persons life and reputation. You can offer to help or ask your parents if you have spare time.

A new girl started at my school. Her name was kimberly, I didn’t really know her that much. She was lonely, so I told her my name and then me and her really became friends. She enjoyed her first day at school and went home with a smile on her face.

The main passage about the story is that little things can be a big difference.

Our Goal's for 2013

A new year and a new start to school. Room 15 year 7/8's had concentrated on our goals for 2013. This movie shows our goals and stuff that we would achieve in this year. Sport is what my high hopes are this year and succeeding in every subject in school. Kimberly, Dante and I had put this movie together and showed our goals for a NEW YEAR 2013!
